I totally agree. I enjoy natural, organic conversations. So many guys on here just don't know how to approach a lady. Or they lead with a dick pic...Uggghhh...lol

Honestly, it sounds like you are not good at conversation. If you are not good at asking questions of someone, it becomes one- sided. They try to salvage the conversation by asking you what you want to talk about because you are offering nothing.

I understand what you are saying. Why do they page you to chat if they expect you to lead the conversation. If they say ask them anything, I ask why did you page me to chat? What makes you think I would be interested in you? Have you read my profile? What's wrong with you that you have to seek others so far away? They are the ones who are not good at conversation, not you.

That is so typical of young people these days... No ideas bouncing around in those thick skulls, When schools stopped teaching grammar, composition and debate, people have not learned to express the simplest of ideas, beyond their most basic desires for food and shelter..

interesting battle of the sexes here... but the answer is simple. when two people finally meet and one asks “What Do You Want to Chat About?” it is code for they really have nothing to chat about they are not compatible there is no chemistry, but the coffee is not finished now the question would be why would people look for blame... is it really easier than to admit no connection ? there is a world of difference between insanity and stupidity

So.... what’s on your mind right now? Lol I get what you mean. It’s fine to start a conversation with “how are you?” because you either genuinely want to know, or you’re trying to start a conversation with someone new without asking the usual boring question. I will freely admit that I normally don’t start conversations but will jump in to add my voice to ones going on in a room. I’m terribly shy and lack certain social skills that most people are equipped with. But hearing from you helps let us shy ones to try a different tack. You bring up a very valid point. Conversation should flow freely. I don't understand why a couple of a_holes needed to reply at all. I wonder if it makes them feel better now.

The men said she was at fault and the women said the men were at fault  interesting perspectives! I can chat about most things and enjoy chatting with different people,,, but if i ask questions and get one word answers I call it a day. I appreciate some ppl find it hard to engage in conversation, but they should use the emails instead of instant chat.
